Oh no, these are most definitely not 1/144 scale. They're 1/12. I've just returned from the IGMA Guild School
where I took two classes with the most talented Silversmith (miniatures, of course), Pete Acquisto.
The classes were fabulous (except for the parts where I thought my brain would explode). The box (ahem, yes, it did get a bit
"crunched") was made primarily on The Mill and the bowl on The Lathe -- two pieces of equipment I'd never used before.
Now, for all you 1/144 fans, never fear -- I AM getting a lathe quite soon and don't you know I'll be doing further
Brain Exploding Experiments to see if I can turn something in 1/144.
