Dollhouse Miniatures Resources

Resources for 1/144 Scale Miniatures

Supplies

  • MiniKitz
Good prices and excellent service. I've ordered from Deb a couple of times and had super speedy delivery and was completely happy with the products. I've purchased all my no-hole beads here, numerous bits of fabric, and a good selection of inexpensive tools.

  • Langley Models
Langley Models carries a good selection of industrial buildings and general model railroader items for 1/148 scale (which is the British "N" scale). Also a good selection of Metal Miniatures including people and animals.

  • North Eastern Scale Miniatures
Beautiful selection of laser cut wood kits for constructing 1/144 houses, gazebos, and 1:12 scale tables to display the houses.

  • sdk miniatures
Wonderful selection of laser cut wood furniture kits (Anita McNary's designs) and mini-metal furniture.

Books

  • 1:144 Scale In and Out
A unique book dedicated exclusively to 1:144 scale dollhouse miniatures. It covers all aspects of working in this tiny scale with lots of color photos to inspire you.

1/144 Miniaturists, Tips, and Tutorials

  • 1/144 Scratch Building Tutorials
Anna-Carin Betzén has the most fabulous tutorials (in the DIY section) for scratch building a wide variety of furniture pieces. She also has needlepoint designs for two 1/144 rugs. Her tutorials are a wonderful gift to the 1/144 community and a constant source of inspiration to me.

  • White Christmas Room
If you want to see just how much can be done at 1:144, this is the place to start -- it's an amazing piece of work with detail that's absolutely astonishing.

  • Frances Armstrong
Frances Armstrong's work is very detailed and there are free instructions for a number of 1/144 projects (including toys, dolls, building a house from scratch and more). Please note that Frances passed away in January 2008 and her site is no-longer updated.
