Oh my, that was a refreshing break, wasn’t it?
Now I bet you’re thinking I never posted a follow-up to my tantalizing Confectionery Prep Work because I never finished a single solitary gingerbread house… au contraire — I was just too
lazy busy to post the follow-up. So here’s some pics:
In all honesty, those little houses were so fiddly, I have my doubts about making more of them. But I did finish them. But, believe it or not, I’ve done absolutely nothing miniature or crafty since then.
I really have been busy… and maybe a little bit uninspired. Why am I posting now? Oh-ho, I’ve become mega-inspired.
The new project (which I’m keeping a secret for now) is in the research stage, but there are a couple of mental/emotional/physical stumbling blocks I need to get out of the way before I can begin any construction/serious design work.
The first obstacle was cleaning off my workbench. Oy, oy, oy. My poor poor workbench which was still (STILL?) covered in polymer clay candy canes and gumdrops. Festive, but not conducive to new projects. I completed that arduous task two days ago.
The second obstacle was ending this blog’s inadvertent “gumdrop” cliffhanger. Done as soon as I post this. whew.
The third obstacle has already been overcome and will be the subject of my next post.
This oh-so-secret project will be a lengthy one and if I’m to survive with my sanity intact, I’ll probably do some smaller projects throughout. What will those be? erm, yeah, I don’t know, too soon to tell. But if I do them, you will be the first to know.
So. How have you been for the past six months?
